Me standing in front of Golden Gate Bridge

Hi, I’m Xianxian 👋
I’m a product designer who brings clarity to complex systems and care to the people who use them.I’ve worked across enterprise platforms, internal tools, and customer-facing experiences—designing for product managers, engineers, researchers, and end users alike. Whether I’m revamping design systems, mapping flows across siloed teams, or improving accessibility in healthcare platforms, I focus on making digital experiences clear, usable, and quietly powerful. My background includes UX strategy, design systems, workflow optimization, and accessibility-first design—especially in fast-moving, technical spaces where clarity matters most.Outside of work, I’m always drawn to patterns: in systems, in people, in stories—and I design with the intent to make them feel just a little more aligned.

I’m Xianxian Cheng, a Product and UX Designer at On Beat Digital, where I lead design initiatives for healthcare platforms on behalf of our client, Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Before this, I designed inclusive tools for gender-affirming care at a stealth healthcare startup, structured internal systems at Commvault, and mapped accessible routes for pedestrian navigation at the Taskar Center for Accessible Technology.

When I'm Not Designing

Learning to Let Go (and Hang On)

Lately I’ve been hooked on indoor climbing, which is surprising given my fear of heights.

What started as a personal challenge turned into something more: a way to reset, focus, and push through hesitation.

Climbing taught me to trust my body, pay attention to subtle shifts in grip and balance, and find calm even when things feel uncertain.

It’s not just about reaching the top; it’s about staying present, making steady progress, and learning to move through fear with clarity.
